  1. I came as a beginner and left advanced.

  2. Thanks you helped me a lot. Great lesson…

  3. Gary Alexander

    D7 shape…lol…E7 etc!

  4. Gary Alexander

on the intro, play the full B7, because you're in "D7" ….the full B7 compliments the D7…just from my thinkin…it sounds good that way when i play it….just some friendly advice from long time subscriber, first time commenter….good job though, i learned alot….love and appreciate what you do Justin….carry on sir…."GATOR" from Oklahoma….states!

  5. Ignacio Carral

    Is this style called clawhammer?

  6. You sound like bryan adams when he sings "if you wanna be bad (you gotta be good)"

  7. this is a very intricate version for a beginner….why is it displayed there?

  8. Dude, trim those nails….. they are not needed to play finger style blues.

  9. Please teach the solos of the electric guitar version…

  10. If you would ever teach with a split screen I would subscribe. I think you are a very good teacher.

  11. When I'm learning a song with Justin (especially acoustic blues like Hey Hey), at the beginning it always feels like he's driving a car in full speed and I'm trying to catch him by running. However, it all turns out well in the end; no matter what.

For example, I spent a solid one week on Hey Hey's tutorial; crying and banging my head on the wall each day; mostly about the rhythm part. Then one day came and I magically figured out the rhythm and got the song perfectly. My private guitar instructor told me that after having learned Hey Hey, the rhythm problem in my playing had disappeared. 🙂 By the way, this song was far more easier than Hey Hey. So, thanks a lot Justin! 🙂

  12. 英語あんまりわからんけど、しっかり練習しますわ。

  13. Cooper Reynolds

Learn to sing mate my ears are bleeding

  14. GREAT COVER! Nice Vocal too

  15. man thank you so much for this!!!

  16. I don't understand which strings you play with the B7 chord. Can anybody help plz?

  17. Larry youguessame

What have you done to that guitar?? Reenforcement rib?? Cloth pick guard ??

  18. George Oosthuizen

Love the way you teach bro. Perfect for me. Not too fast, not too slow. Just right!

  19. just fantastic, man.

  20. Ευάγγελος Ντελής

    thank you !

  21. Love this song!!!! i tried to cover it too:

  22. Not the easiest to play but excellent lesson . Any chance you could do the unplugged Lonely Stranger. I've tried it a few times without getting very far! Thanks for all your great lessons & tips

  23. Thank You ! I've always heard the tune around, and always wondered if it was just a common lick.

  24. After coming back and giving up again and again, i finally got it down. Just gotta work on the licks and the timing of them.So to anyone thinking it's impossible, or the rhythm is too difficult:

Sit down with a piece of paper, or just the notepad on the pc, slow the video down to half speed, and write down what fingers to use at what time, and progress slowly.

Doing that, it took me an hour to learn the whole intro (time writing down included) and i'm playing it all full speed now.

Take your time. Don't give up 🙂

  25. Don't be so hard on yourself. Just fake it till you make it. If you can get the rhythm enjoy it and sing along everything else will follow.

  26. I love your work, but the fact that you labelled this as "for beginners" is depressing me no end…. I thought I could fingerpick, then I saw this video 🙁

  27. Hey Justin, what is the "traveling up the neck" bit at 00:42 all about?

  28. Somchai Saeoung

    great love it thank!!

  29. Please acknowledge that Bo Diddley wrote this song.

  30. I really appreciate your lessons but think this is way too advanced for a beginners course song. It just leads to frustration for a novice player.

  31. Richard Sørensen

well played ! and good lesson

  32. Bruno Alves Pereira

Como faz para sugerir uma música para ele ensinar?
how I do to ask he to teacher a song?

  34. Loved the Dire Straits reverence 😀
