This is the first video in the Rhythm Guitar Quick-Start Series. Knowing how to play rhythm guitar is a really important skill to have. It’s a must for guitarists that are interested in learning to play their favorite songs, jam with their friends, or play life music.

The goal of this series is to give you a solid foundation for playing rhythm guitar. This first video will get you started and the remaining lessons will cover topics like: playing power chords, playing bar chords, major bar chord shapes, minor bar chord shapes, common chord progressions, and more.

  4. Cheers for the Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you researched – Riddleagan Blossoming Solo Remedy (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one off guide for mastering guitar scales without the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got amazing results with it.

  13. I've never really been able to tell the difference between rhythm guitars for example the Beatles my favorite band. John Lennon he played rhythm guitar but when I saw them playing live all he did was strum his fingers and I never heard his guitar even if I tried to really focus on him like me trying to just listen to him play guitar I just couldn't! So can anyone explain to me what a rhythm guitar does?
