  9. Mishnack Baker

  10. Thanks Mark. A true gent. Selfless, generous, enthusiastic and to top it all off a great do it it in chunks teacher. You don't do a whole lot of waffle either, straight to the point. Your an inspiration.

  19. brandon bowers

    What the hell is B3?

  20. Richard Burchett

NIce job, nice bass, and it's wonderful to see somebody emphasize the importance of right hand technique. It's so important to alternate fingers even when it feels unnatrual at first in order to get speed. You see so many bass players that just do like they feel on the right hand but it's a hinderance to reaching really great speed and articulation.

  21. Eliasar Manalaysay

i love ur bass guitar, specs pls 😉

  22. Patryk Grudnik

Sometimes I just go through random Mark's videos and make sure i liked each of them ; )

  23. Wow! This was an explanation that actually connected with me! Thanks!

  24. What are those lights by the pickups?

  25. austin johnson

Pls tell me the name of this bass

  26. Minor and Major -7th Pentatonic Runs to play Against Lead Solos are found thru Close Ear Listening to Beat Meter of Drum

  27. Joseph Leppert

You're a great teacher, dude. Thanks a lot for being so genourous with your time and knowledge.

  28. Hi Mark, I want to thank you for all your help in teaching me to play bass. Your instructions are not only informative, fun to practice, but also easy to understand. I look forward to your next lessons.

  29. This video is golden! Great teaching technique! I really appreciate the zoom ins on the guitar. Really helpful how you take the sweet long times to repeat every note. This is definitely a great learning tool.

  30. Moses Bullrush

I don't normally like humbuckers on a bass but this is a nice meaty tone.

  31. Wilfredo Vazquez

    Another great lesson. Thanks.

  32. Thank you sir ! =)

  33. Dekel shem tov

thank you so much! i`ve been mocking around so much with studying bass via the web – and you are the only one i know who makes it all so clear and simple. you are a treasure. keep making the world a better place!!

  34. Henning Does Bass

Man, I've been practicing this for a good chunk of time almost every day for over a week and still have trouble doing the run at 90BPM!

  35. A+  Mark is your grade,   thanks.

  36. Wendy Dewberry

Thank you for all your lessons. I have enjoyed most online teachers for something unique but as a beginner bass player it seems that I have learned the most constructive and cohesive from you. Maybe a Scott thing 😉

  37. Sergio Gonzalez

"Letting the snare breath." It's those little gems that I wouldn't have considered. Thanks!

  38. I'll throw in my two cents here just because kids forget sometimes that PENTAtonic means 5 notes, and the blues scale w/b5 or blue note, become a HEXAtonic meaning 6 notes. So basically it's the same scale with the added blue note or flat (b5).Good teacher.Loved your lesson on Bass chords, very well explained.

  39. excelent

Nice lesson, really helpful. BTW: Is that Irish accent? Sorry for the stupid question, no offence or provocation intended, I simply enjoy identifying accents. N.B. English is not my native language.  😉
